Keith is a founder and co-managing director of ysura. He is an experienced executive, founder and visionary of several software companies, including Fidelio, Conject, NXN and Hetras. At ysura, Keith is working on Marketing, business development and company strategy.

Jochen Munz

Jochen is a co-founder of ysura as well as head of development and scrum master. He ensures that the team stays on target and that our R&D process runs as smooth as possible. So far, he’s kept the team ahead of schedule. Our velocity increases from sprint to sprint.

Nico Breidenbach, ysura’s first employee, is product manager and sales executive. When he’s not in the office, he’s probably playing football, at the gym or following FC Bayern.

One of our most experienced software architects, Sebastian has made a huge impact on the direction of ysura’s technology. An experienced app developer on all major platforms, he brings with him a huge amount of knowledge and tips and tricks which help make our products really fly. Despite his hard work at ysura, Sebastian still finds time to play golf or ride horses on the weekends.

Florian Bernstein

One of ysura’s first employees, Florian has worked on almost every aspect of the ysura product and interviewed nearly every candidate. After studying computer science at the TU in Munich, Florian developed several applications at various companies before joining ysura. When he’s not programming, you might find him playing soccer, climbing rocks or racing down the mountain on a snowboard.

Markus Binder is a Business Intelligence specialist at ysura. Apart from that he takes care of data integration and even serves as ysura’s data privacy officer. He loves Spanish and when he’s not busy with the database, he’s probably planning his next journey to Latin America.

Stefan helps ysura with product management, quality assurance, testing and support. Our support team has set a goal of 100% user satisfaction with support and Stefan’s technical competence, positive attitude and friendly communication skills help ysura reach this goal. Prior to ysura, Stefan supported software for Lufthansa City Center. When he’s not in the office, he may be playing in one of his three rock bands.

In his free time, he enjoys learning new technologies, new programming languages and solving really hard problems.

Sofia holds a degree in computer science but spent the first part of her career working in real estate and naval engineering. To prepare for a career change, Sofia brought herself up-to-date on the newest technologies and now – in her first job as software developer – already knows Java as well as the pros. Her goal of climbing all the alpine peaks puts her in excellent company at ysura.

Madhavi applied to ysura initially as a back end developer. She was brilliant in her interview but at the time we really needed a front-end developer. So Madhavi reapplied as a front-end developer and was equally as convincing. 24 hours later she signed a contract and was on her way to becoming the first Indian national at ysura. On her second day of work she committed her first code to a release. Is Madhavi our newest shooting star?

Alessandro, an Italian citizen, grew up in Germany and then moved to Spain, where he worked for a Japanese company. In other words, it’s a typical multicultural background for an ysura team member. Alessandro brings more than a decade of front-end development experience as well as a keen eye for pixel perfection in user interface design. If that’s not enough, Alessandro also restores antique furniture in his free time.

Hector Baide Muñoz

Hector is ysura’s user experience and media designer. He ensures that everything ysura produces is attractive, intuitive and follows our design principals. A native of Honduras, Hector moved to Bremen where he completed a Masters in Digital Media and then worked for several years as a freelance designer in Berlin. When he’s not dreaming up cool designs, you’ll probably find Hector drinking coffee, or composing music or both.

Sergei Stepanov

Sergei’s decision to join ysura was easy. In his native St. Petersburg, he commuted 90 minutes each way to get to work. At ysura, he needs only about 90 seconds. His first weeks at ysura gave him plenty of opportunity to get to know the team: Volleyball tournament, baseball event and then 3-day offsite trip to Austria. Oh yes, he did some java programming as well. Sergei is no newcomer to Germany. Prior to joining ysura, he worked for T-Systems in their Russian office but with frequent visits to Germany.

Petar is a full-stack developer with a focus on Java. Educated in Bulgaria, Petar started his career in America, where he not only perfected his English but also his barkeeping skills. After developing software for telecom, ERP and construction, Petar brings his talents to pharmaceutical software. His interest in German football and German beer helps him feel right at home in Munich.

Joern Jackowski

Joern brings 10 years of experience as CRM coordinator, business analyst and IT manager in the pharmaceutical industry and therefore fits perfectly in the role as product manager at ysura. Furthermore, Joern’s deep knowledge of the OTC Pharmaceutical market helps ysura adapt its CRM product for this segment. On top of all this, he has a keen eye for design and contributes not only to ysura’s functionality but also its style.

Michael Ricks

Michael coaches the sales and marketing team; advises the management on the “next big thing”; and updates the entire staff on the future of health. He has held executive positions in the European organizations of Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini and KPMG. He sits on boards of M&A firms, airline consultancies and executive search firms and still finds time to teach MBA students, fly private plane and fix classic cars.

Fulong Shi

After completing a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Computer Engineering in Duisburg-Essen and working in various internships around Germany, Fulong chose ysura as the first step in his professional career. Well-versed in Java but in many other technologies as well, he works on integration, monitoring, interfaces and various other critical tasks. With Fulong on board, ysura doubles the number of its Chinese speakers.

Brent Douglas

After completing a degree in mechanical engineering and developing a trading platform, Brent left his native Australia and embarked on a 12-month, 20-country and 150-city tour of Europe. Along the way, he realised that Europe wouldn’t be a bad place to work. In between train stations, youth hostels and city tours, Brent filled out some applications and ysura was lucky to be on his target list. At ysura, Brent has clearly put his mark on the Java back-end, sometimes refactoring a thousand lines of code in a single night.

Nick Ilkevich

Nick not only brings deep software engineering talent and experience to the ysura team, but also adds a new pin to the map: Belarus. After completed a bachelor’s in computer science in Minsk, he took on increasingly demanding jobs, first in Belarus and then in Munich before making the jump to ysura. In his free time, Nick attends meetups, experiments with new technologies and builds custom furniture.

For over 7 years Andrea worked as a project manager in a marketing agency that supported franchise systems. Her main tasks were customer support, event coordination and partner acquisition. At ysura she is responsible for customer service and also assists marketing and sales. She loves to ride her horse as well as travel around the world.

Céline Kerriou

Céline Kerriou is currently in her 3rd year of Joint Honours in Mathematics and Computer Science at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She grew up in Munich and after completing her French High School, she felt like it was the perfect opportunity to move to another country. Through an Introductory course, Céline discovered her interest in Computer Science and decided to combine it with Mathematics degree. Besides studying, Céline enjoy drawing, hiking and playing Water Polo on the University team. After various internships in different fields, ysura will be her first experience working as a Software Developer.

Front-End/Web Developer

Here’s what you’ll be doing

  • Develop a world class application for an exciting industry. You’ll be proud to tell your friends that you’re one of the authors!
  • Discuss and plan business requirements together with UX designers and product managers. You can influence the direction of the product!
  • Determine the ideal approach to solve technical problems together with your team. There’s no rulebook. You make the rules!
  • Implement new functionality and improvements to existing functionality. We’re already good at this. Let’s see if you can make us even better!
  • Try out new technologies and design patterns. Do you think our architecture is set in stone? Think again!

This is what you bring to the table 

The most important things are logical thinking, clean code, good development practices and the ability to learn new skills quickly. But some hands-on experience in front-end technology is necessary.

  • Strong knowledge in front-end technologies, especially Javascript (AngularJS, Jquery) but also HTML5, CSS3,  and semantic markup
  • We use BEM, Flexbox and Stylus as well. Know them?
  • Want to really impress us ? Demonstrate your deep understanding of how a browser renders a page and how CSS is processed
  • Ideally skills in user experience, user interface design und iOS app development
  • It never hurts to have some back-end development skills as well (e.g. Java, Objective-C, Python, Bash). Maybe you’ll end up being a full-stack developer!
  • Bonus points for experience in databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
  • Nice to have: know-how in business intelligence tools such as Jaspersoft

Business Intelligence Analyst

We are integrating a business intelligence and reporting tool (JasperSoft) with our application. Are you a BI-expert? Have you worked with JasperSoft already? If so, we’d love to meet you. You are welcome to join the team long term or spent a couple of months with us in our Munich office getting our Jaspersoft project up and running. As we generally speak German in our R&D team, we wrote this job description in German.
